Common Business Library (xCBL)

Commerce One's Common Business Library (xCBL) is an open XML specification for the cross-industry exchange of business documents such as product descriptions, purchase orders, invoices, and shipping schedules. XCBL is a set of XML building blocks and a document framework that allows the creation of robust, reusable XML documents for electronic commerce. Commerce One participates with the W3C, with the eCo framework initiative, and with UN/EDIFACT to coordinate its efforts.

Accelerated Integration

iWay provides support for these formats in the iWay Service Manager, mapping them to SOAP WSDL-compliant XML, OAG BOD, and iWay XML request documents. The iWay XML request document is the connection into the iWay infrastructure, allowing integration of over 200 back-end systems, databases, and application environments such as CICS, IMS, and SAP. The iWay Service Manager transforms these XML documents into a number of XML and non-XML formats, including cXML, ebXML, SAP IDoc, SAP IFR XML, OAG BOD, SQL, ANSI X.12 EDI, UN/EDIFACT EDI, SWIFT, FIX, and HIPAA.

Supported integration environments include IBM WebSphere, IBM WebSphere MQ Integrator, Microsoft BizTalk Server, Microsoft Commerce Server, Oracle 9iAS, and Oracle 9iAS InterConnect.
