In conjunction with the iWay RDBMS adapter, the adapter for MFG/PRO can pull the MFG/PRO events database at user-configured time intervals and translate the event information to XML.

The iWay Intelligent Adapter for MFG/PRO uses native MFG/PRO sessions, data interchange interfaces, and metadata to capture MFG/PRO application events and exchange messages and transactions between MFG/PRO applications and other iWay Intelligent Adapters. The iWay Intelligent Adapter for MFG/PRO supports the following service (inbound) and event (outbound) integration operations using any number of transport protocols:

• Service. Receives an XML service request document on an iWay listener, transforms the document into the appropriate API calls required by MFG/PRO to run specific business functions, connects to a MFG/PRO application to invoke the generated application logic, formats the result as an XML document, and returns it to the appropriate application
• Event. Receives an event from an internally triggered MFG/PRO mechanism, such as update customer record, and sends the document to the appropriate application

By interfacing directly with the MFG/PRO application sessions at design time, the iWay Intelligent Adapter for MFG/PRO can use standard or custom MFG/PRO business objects and components to generate all necessary request and response documents for services and events used in runtime integration with MFG/PRO applications.
